Brief explanation between PUK and Non PUK stock
PUK stock has it’s own PUK number for each item. For instance, if you have 30 economy male urinals, each item will have its own PUK number but will all have the same material code. It’s easier to move PUK stock to any location as it doesn’t leave an electronic footprint of where it was originally located (although, it will have a history of movement on the scanner).
Non PUK stock is slightly different. If you have 30 Neptune batteries, you will only have 1 label for those 30 batteries. All non PUK stock will start with a NP on the material code. Moving Non PUK stock is different. The easiest way to explain is that you have to move from a source (shelf location) to a destination (where you are moving the non PUK to) but is done by quantity. Moving non PUK stock between shelf locations is normally avoided.
